Finally! WhatsApp has arrived on your Apple Watch, and it's bringing a whole new level of convenience to your wrist. No more fumbling for your phone every time a message pings.
This new app lets you dive right into your chats. You can now read full messages instead of just truncated previews, giving you a better view of your conversations. You'll also be able to scroll through more of your chat history directly on your watch. But that's not all – you can record and send voice messages, react with quick emojis, and even view high-resolution images and stickers.
However, there's a catch: call functionality is still limited. Due to platform restrictions, you can't make or receive calls directly through your Apple Watch. You can, however, see who's calling without reaching for your phone.
WhatsApp assures us this is just the beginning. They've hinted at more features to come, which is exciting news for users. Just like on other platforms, the Apple Watch app boasts end-to-end encryption, ensuring your messages stay private and secure.
The WhatsApp app for Apple Watch is compatible with Apple Watch Series 4 and later models, running watchOS 10 or later.
What do you think about the initial features? Do you feel that the lack of calling functionality is a deal-breaker, or are you excited about the other features? Share your thoughts in the comments!
